Saudi Arabia executes citizen convicted of terrorism
Saudi Arabia executed a man convicted of terrorism on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency reported citing the interior ministry.
Saudi national Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Ali al-Abd al-Jabbar was executed in the eastern region, following a trial and royal order, SPA said.
Al-Jabbar was charged with terrorism after joining a terrorist cell, opening fire on a security establishment, monitoring security personnel, and informing security movements to extremists elements, the agency said.
This resulted in three security officer being “targeted,” it added.
In February, Saudi Arabia executed seven men who were found guilty of terror offenses. A month prior to that, the Kingdom carried out the death sentence against a Saudi citizen convicted of acts of terrorism.
