Saudi Arabia downs missiles over Riyadh, Eastern Province; drone debris hits al-Kharj

Saudi Arabia’s air defenses intercepted multiple ballistic missiles targeting the Riyadh and Eastern Province, while debris from a downed drone fell on homes in al-Kharj, authorities said Tuesday.

The Saudi Civil Defense said that debris from an intercepted drone fell on six houses in a neighborhood in the al-Kharj Governorate.

The interception resulted in limited material damage and no reported injuries.

Authorities confirmed that standard procedures were immediately implemented following the incident, according to SPA.

Meanwhile, Ministry of Defense spokesperson Major General Turki al-Malki said a ballistic missile launched toward the Eastern Province was intercepted and destroyed.

Al-Malki added that three ballistic missiles targeting the Riyadh Region were also successfully intercepted and destroyed.
