Sam Pepper banned on Kick after shooting fireworks at child, nearly blinding them

Controversial streamer and content creator Sam Pepper was banned on Kick after a livestream captured him nearly blinding an Indian child by shooting fireworks at them in New Delhi, India.

Pepper, who is visiting India for the second time, was partaking in a Diwali celebration where several people were captured shooting fireworks at each other, which raised massive safety concerns on social media.

The streamer aimed a firework stick at the crowd attending the celebratory event, with the shot hitting a child. Sam Pepper then shouted, “oh my God, oh my God, Headshot! Bro that’s crazy!” An Indian man then approached Pepper, stating that the fireworks had hit a child and that they had lost one of their eyes on impact.

Pepper told the man that the other group was shooting at them as well, stating further that they thought they were playing with each other.

A social media user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “Can we just ban streamers like this, all of them, the disregard for others well being and not admitting to it. Messed up.”

Another added, “Sounds like the kid should sue him for every cent he doesn’t have.”

Upon visiting his Kick account, users reported getting a prompt that read “Oops, something went wrong,” which indicates that the streamer was suspended or banned from the platform.

In response to the social media backlash, Pepper took to X denying that the child lost their sight and wrote, “Was in India tonight with another big group firing small fire cracker back and forth at Each-other, seems stupid now I’m writing this. But one of the group on the other side got hit by a cracker I shot and got a cut above their eye brow.”

He added, “I feel terrible, we sent someone with them to get them checked out and made sure all costs were paid, they got a paper stitch, and are now back home.”

Known for his controversial prank videos and erratic online behavior, Sam Pepper was also accused by multiple women of sexual misconduct in 2014. However, the streamer denied all the allegations, and police didn’t pursue the issue further, claiming that the victim didn’t cooperate with them.
