Prince Harry faces Sentebale scandal as Chairwoman accuses him of bullying

Prince Harry faces backlash after Sentebale chairwoman Sophie Chandauka accuses him of bullying and harassment.
Prince Harry faces a new issue following divisive remarks made by the chairwoman of Sentebale, the group he established in memory of his mother, Princess Diana, to support young people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa. In a stunning interview with Sky News, Dr. Sophie Chandauka accused him of rampant bullying and administrative harassment. The accusations came after he and other group members resigned this week, which led to a flurry of debate about the prince’s actions.
Prince Harry’s mysterious message… and Chandauka’s harsh reply
Dr. Sophie Chandauka started the narrative by saying that Prince Harry sent her a “condescending” and “unkind” direct message after the organization declined to release a statement defending his wife, Meghan Markle, and trying to improve her reputation. The Duke resigned as head of the HIV-positive children’s charity he co-founded almost twenty years ago as a result of their falling out, which was exacerbated by her failure to heed Meghan’s request for assistance.
Later, despite not specifically naming Harry, Dr. Chanduka issued a damning statement that many interpreted as a covert assault on him. She questioned Meghan’s involvement in the problem when she said that people “play the victim and use the press they claim to hate to harm others,” a statement that caused a lot of controversy.
“He feels like he’s lost a finger,” said Alex Rayner, a close friend of Harry’s who went with him to the North Pole in 2012. Rayner described the prince’s state as “beyond grief and shock.” He went on to say that Harry saw the current situation as a “hostile takeover” of the organization he established in honor of his mother when he was a youngster.
Harry is still in disbelief about what happened and isn’t sure what to do next, according to those close to him. According to Rayner, “It’s too early to know whether he will step back completely or try to regain control of the organization.”
Was Meghan a Factor in the Crisis? An Old Video Sparks New Debate
Particularly when a video taken during a charity polo tournament in Sentebale last April went viral, the controversy has exposed the origins of the conflict between Meghan Markle and Dr. Chanduka. Some royal experts have taken Meghan’s gesture of guiding Chanduka to a different place on stage as a major contributing factor to their tense relationship.
One of Prince Harry’s advisors requested that Dr. Sophie Chanduka release a statement refuting reports of a rift, according to the Telegraph.
However, feeling degraded at the charity function, Chandaka turned down the invitation, stating she would rather not be a part of the “Sussex family’s PR machine.”
The accusations, however, were refuted by people close to Harry and Meghan, who called them “completely misleading and baseless.”
