Nada Koussa crowned Miss Lebanon 2024 in glamorous LBC broadcast ceremony

At a ceremony that took place on Saturday night and was carried live on LBC, Lebanon’s 26-year-old Nada Koussa was proclaimed the beauty queen of 2024.

The primary objective of this ritual was to honor the lives and legacies of remarkable women. We hand-picked a panel of accomplished women for this task, which included Georgina Rizk, the former Miss Universe 1971, Raya Abi Rached, actress Razane Jammal, and model Nour Arida. Female performers showcased their talents during the contenders’ passage, and we selected celebrity Elissa as the event’s special guest.

Out of fifteen college graduates who turned up for the election, Sarah Lina Boujaoude, 19, took home first place, while Gayelle Balian, 25, took home second place. Actress Aimee Sayah wowed in two outfits designed by Tony Ward Couture—the same house that styled all of the contestants—and hosted the event.

Aimee’s body was encrusted with Mouawad jewelry, and the house also created the crown for Miss Lebanon 2024. Diamonds and precious stones, representing the colors of the Lebanese flag, adorned the cedar-shaped crown.

Yasmina Zaytoun responded by saying: “Two years ago, my name stopped being Yasmina, but my name became Lebanon.” She said: “Thank you to Beirut, which is still celebrating joy, and thank you to the South, whose daughter I am, which teaches us steadfastness every day. Thank you to every Lebanese who still believes in Lebanon.”

When asked about her world title, Nada Koussa replied, “We made history when I won the title of first runner-up for Miss World, and allow me, Yasmina, to thank everyone who stood by me, and thank you to my family who were with me from the first moments, and thank you to the Ministry of Tourism.”

Like any Lebanese, her story is far from over, Nada Koussa said. The beginning is here. You have my deepest gratitude, Lebanon.
