Mitsubishi or Mercedes: Ahmed El Awady accused of objectifying women

Egyptian actor Ahmed El Awady was slammed by feminists and women’s rights advocates after his latest comments about women in his life.

El Awady was accused of objectifying women during his interview on the “My Story” podcast, hosted by Lebanese journalist Mohammed Qais on the “Shasha” platform.

He noted that he had experienced true love more than once in his life, and also spoke about his memories with his parents and his childhood, in addition to discussing his relationship with his fans and their impact on his artistic career.

Ahmed El Awady accused of objectifying women:

The Egyptian actor, who starred in the hit Ramadan 2026 television series “Ali Clay”, sparked outrage when he was asked about his love life.

Qais was asking that, if a person shared “sweet memories” with someone, they shall remain even if love ends, but if a new love enters, will people forget all the old memories, or do good memories stay for ever?

El Awady answered, “These inormation are not precise.” He continued, “The first car I ever purchased was a Mitsubishi Lancer, and for me it was amazing, and I was extremely happy.”

He added, “When God gave me, I drove a Mercedes. I felt an overwhelming happiness, and I will never go back to the old Mitsubishi car.”
