Maroon 5 concert canceled in Amman, Jordan
American rock-pop band Maroon 5 was scheduled to hold a concert on November 10 in Amman Exhibition Park, Amman – Jordan.
However, due to the devastating war against Gaza and Palestine, concert organizers 165 Entertainment has announced that Maroon 5’s concert and all other 2023 entertainment activities have been cancelled until further notice.
On August 22, Maroon 5 announced on their official Instagram page that they’re throwing two concerts in the Middle East, one in Jordan, and another one in Bahrain.
They wrote to their 8.8 million followers:
“We’re adding a couple more international shows, in Jordan and Bahrain, before the end of the year!
Nov. 10th @ Amman Exhibition Park
Nov. 13th @ Al Dana Amphitheatre
On-sale Aug. 28th at 12pm local time”
And four days ago, 165 Entertainment events planner has announced that the show in Amman has been cancelled.
They wrote on their various social media accounts:
“Maroon 5 concert on November 10th, 2023 has been cancelled.
This is a decision we took immediately with our partners, the Tourism Promotion Authority, Bank al Etihad, Zain Company, Beat FM, and Mood FM, from the beginning of the conflict, and we indicated the necessary legal procedures to cancel the concert.
All tickets will be refunded, further details on the refund process will be posted on Sunday, 22nd of October.”
165 Entertainment cancels all activities until further notice
After canceling Maroon 5 concert, the events planner has also decided to cancel all 2023 upcoming events until further notice.
They wrote:
“In solidarity with Gaza and its resilient people, and children, we have cancelled all our upcoming events for 2023 until further notice.
This decision comes in line with our company’s values and principles that we take pride in since its establishment in 2008, and we will always remain committed to peace, justice, and the dignity of humanity.
As we send our love and prayers to the world, we pray for Gaza, and we pray for our beloved country, The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
