Lujane Yacoub, a talented actress, dancer, and model, achieved a resounding victory by winning the coveted title of Miss Universe Bahrain 2023. This triumph comes a year after she secured the second position in the same prestigious beauty pageant.
At the youthful age of 19, Lujane Yacoub not only dazzled the judges but also made history as the youngest contestant at the event.
The grand spectacle took place on a global stage, live-streamed from the scenic Mirihi Island Resort in the Maldives.
Amidst stiff competition from eight other remarkable contestants, Yacoub emerged victorious, earning the privilege of representing Bahrain at the upcoming global Miss Universe pageant scheduled for November.
Lujane Yacoub’s diverse heritage, born to a Bahraini father and an American mother, undoubtedly contributed to her unique appeal.
The Miss Universe Bahrain organization highlighted her exceptional qualities, describing her as possessing “beauty, authentic communication skills, and a passionate heart towards her advocacies.”
The panel of judges for Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 included renowned figures such as Egyptian actress Mai Omar, Moroccan actress Leila Hadioui, Filipino singer and former Now United member Bailey May, Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela, and Miss Universe Bahrain 2022 Evlin Khalifa.
The competition encompassed five distinct segments, evaluating candidates in personal interviews, activewear, swimwear, evening gowns, and the final question round.
Josh Yugen, owner and national director of Miss Universe Bahrain, expressed the organization’s dedication to empowering young women and shattering stereotypes.
“We are very honored to crown our new Miss Universe Bahrain 2023 with our goal of celebrating a platform that gives a voice to the empowerment of young women, to highlight their incredible and innovative contribution to our society, and to inspire other women to break stereotypes not only in GCC but all throughout the world.”
