Helin Kandemir and Hakan Çelebi star in new TOD series Çiçekçi Kız

Helin Kandemir and Hakan Çelebi are coming together for Çiçekçi Kız (The Flower Girl), a new romantic comedy prepared for TOD.

Çiçekçi Kız follows a young woman who leaves the corporate world to open a flower shop and café, only to find herself working with a man hiding a major secret. Written and directed by Deniz Akçay, the production is scheduled to premiere on TOD in November 2026.

What Is Çiçekçi Kız About?

Helin Kandemir plays Nilüfer, a young woman who wants to escape the stress of corporate life and build a more peaceful future. She leaves her job behind and opens a place that combines a café with a flower shop, hoping to create a business that reflects the life she wants.

Her plans take an unexpected turn when Faruk, played by Çelebi, becomes her partner. At first, he appears to be an ordinary man helping with the business. But Faruk is actually a police officer working undercover on a secret mission.

The two have different reasons for entering the partnership, and Faruk’s hidden identity threatens to complicate Nilüfer’s fresh start. As their lives become increasingly connected, the story brings romance and mystery together, asking what happens when love begins to interfere with carefully made plans.

Helin Kandemir and Hakan Çelebi Lead the Cast

Kandemir takes on the role of Nilüfer after attracting attention for her work in Turkish television, including Sevdiğim Sensin. Çelebi plays Faruk, the undercover officer whose arrival changes the course of Nilüfer’s new life. He is also known for his role as Paşa in Yeraltı.

The supporting cast includes Yiğit Yapıcı, Yunus Narin, Gizem Denizci and Müge Su Şahin. More details about their characters have yet to be widely disclosed.

Who Is Behind the New TOD Series?

Çiçekçi Kız is produced by OM Content for TOD, with Deniz Akçay handling both the screenplay and direction. The series is planned for 13 episodes, each around 25 minutes long, giving it a shorter format than traditional Turkish television dramas.

The project is also attracting international attention. On October 8, 2026, international distributor Eccho Rights announced that it had acquired worldwide distribution rights to Çiçekçi Kız, under the international title The Florist. The series will be presented to buyers at MIPCOM in Cannes alongside two other TOD dramas, Alıkara and Doors of Destiny.

When Will Çiçekçi Kız Be Released?

TOD has announced that Çiçekçi Kız will premiere in November 2026, although an exact date has not yet been revealed. The series is expected to appeal to viewers looking for a romantic story with a mystery at its centre, led by two young actors and built around a relationship that begins with a secret.

With Nilüfer trying to create a new life and Faruk concealing the real reason he has entered her world, Çiçekçi Kız sets up a romance in which neither character may be able to control what happens next.
