Korean actor Kim Kwon under fire for posting pro-Israel photo amid Rafah attack
Korean actor Kim Kwon is under fire after sharing a pro-Israel photo on his social media angering many K-drama fans and pro-Palestine activists alike. Furthermore, the actor was criticized for sharing the post.
Kim Kwon is known for starring in many K-drama shows including He Is Psychometric, 2023’s The Killing Vote, Destined with You, and many more. The post in question was in response to the ongoing and trending post “All Eyes on Rafah” referring to the recent massacre that caused the death of many innocent Palestinians.
The post said, “If your eyes are on Rafah, help us find our hostages” referring to the hostages taken by Al Qassam Brigades’ Hamas group during the surprise festival attack on Oct. 7, 2023. Moreover, he shared the image on his official Instagram story “_____ripley” on May 29, 2024.

This didn’t sit well with many Korean drama fans as they took to countless social media platforms mocking and judging the actor for his zionist stance on the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023.

Another user claimed that the Korean actor later deleted the story post after receiving backlash from his fans .
Eyes on Rafah and Gaza
By the time of writing this article, the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023, has resulted in the killing of more than 36,000 Palestinians of whom are children (not counting the ones buried under the rubble), as reported by the ministry of health in Gaza.
Additionally, at least 81,000 Palestinians since Oct. 7 were injured due to the constant bombardment from Israel leaving many Gazans homeless, displaced, and malnourished.
