Kim Kardashian acknowledges Kanye West’s role in co-parenting amid his return to The Kardashians

Kim Kardashian’s stance on Kanye West is changing. Despite her previous denials, she admitted that he has “been involved” in co-parenting their four children.

On Feb. 20, Kardashian and the “Famous” rapper saw their 11-year-old daughter North’s Lion King performance at the Hollywood Bowl. In the show, the SKIMS founder strangely solely praised her problematic ex.

Kardashian, who has Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, with Ye, confessed , “Her dad has been involved.” We always have nice vibes when we support our child because Kanye and I want the best for the kids.

Always wonderful vibes?! Is this the same person who exhibited his now-wife Bianca Censori naked at the Grammys or who called himself “a Nazi” and defended Sean “Diddy” Combs on X this month? This is not role model material, but I understand being in a bind considering West is her children’s father. North’s performance in May 2024 predated West’s new antics.

The exes applaud North throughout the episode. “Man, she did so good,” Ye told Kardashian backstage,“What you thought?”

“I was just crying from the side,” she said.

They may get along in public, but it doesn’t mean they’re close (or that she approves of everything her ex does!). Kardashian talked on Zoe Winkler’s What’s the Winkler podcast in November about being a single mom and feeling “alone” with her four kids.

She said she had a “great support system,” but “sometimes in the middle of the night, when they’re all sleeping in your bed kicking you and crying and waking up—it’s not something I talk about a lot because I feel like there is always a lot of judgment or people always jump to, ‘Oh, but you have the resources to have nannies and to have help.’ I feel like I’m raising four kids alone, regardless of aid.”

Kardashian reportedly gave West and Censori a “long list of rules” for their time with the kids. Sources told InTouch Weekly this month that her primary rule is “no nudity in front of [the kids].”

The insider said, “She’s made it clear that if he breaks any of the rules they’ve agreed on about posting online while under Bianca’s care, there will be hell to pay. She doesn’t want children to think they can do whatever they want with their stepmom.”

Kardashian believes West’s rambling tweets were “not just an attack on [Kim], it’s an attack on the whole family.” According to the source, “They are all upset, but Kim is having the toughest time because she has to deal with him and doesn’t know what he might do next.”

“She’s so angry, but she can’t say a word against him in front of her kids because she knows it will upset them, and she’s bound and determined to protect them no matter what,” the insider said. “It’s classic Kanye, because he’s been acting nice and she thought things might be improving, then he does this, which is so hurtful.”

It’s great that Kardashian supports the kids in public but sets boundaries behind the scenes!
