Kendall Jenner goes blonde for the first time in years with halloween transformation

Kendall Jenner channels an iconic 1980s movie character for Halloween.

Kendall Jenner gave fans a rare look at herself as a blonde this Halloween, trading her signature dark hair for a short, platinum-blonde bob. The model embraced a completely different appearance as she recreated an iconic character from the 1984 film ‘Paris, Texas’, bringing one of the movie’s most recognisable looks back to life.

Jenner shared a series of photos on Instagram on Saturday, October 31, showing off her transformation into Jane Henderson, the character played by Nastassja Kinski in the classic film directed by Wim Wenders.

Her costume featured a fuzzy, bright pink mini dress with a low back, paired with sheer black tights. However, the biggest change was her hair. Jenner wore a champagne-blonde wig cut into a wispy, chin-length bob, with flipped-out ends and a middle part that closely resembled Kinski’s hairstyle in the movie.

The look was a major departure from Jenner’s usual brunette appearance. While her sisters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner have frequently experimented with different hair colours, Kendall has generally remained loyal to her dark locks. Her Halloween transformation gave fans a glimpse of how different she looks with lighter hair, although the blonde style was created with a wig rather than a permanent colour change.

For the beauty look, Jenner opted for soft pink lipstick, matching blush and defined lashes. Her makeup complemented the pink outfit without taking attention away from the blonde hairstyle.

Kendall Jenner Recreates an Iconic Paris, Texas Look

Jenner’s costume was inspired by one of the most memorable appearances of Jane Henderson in ‘Paris, Texas’. The 1984 drama follows Travis Henderson, played by Harry Dean Stanton, a mysterious man who reappears after disappearing for four years. He eventually tries to reconnect with his young son and his estranged wife, Jane.

The film also stars Nastassja Kinski and Hunter Carson. Written by Sam Shepard and directed by Wim Wenders, it became one of the most celebrated independent films of the 1980s, winning the Palme d’Or at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival.

Kinski’s pink sweater and blonde bob became among the film’s most recognisable visual details, making the outfit a particularly fitting choice for Jenner’s Halloween appearance.

Jacob Elordi Joins Kendall Jenner for Couples Costume

Jenner did not recreate the movie reference alone. Her boyfriend, actor Jacob Elordi, joined her by dressing as Travis Henderson, the character originally played by Stanton.

The matching costumes turned their Halloween appearance into a couples’ tribute to the film. Elordi’s look included a red cap, echoing the character’s memorable styling.

The pair wore their costumes for Jenner’s Halloween and birthday celebration, held on Friday, October 30, at Bar Marmont in Los Angeles. The event came just days before the model’s 31st birthday on November 3.

The star-studded party attracted several familiar faces, including Charli XCX, Hailey Bieber, Laura Harrier, Tate McRae and Alex Consani.

Kendall Jenner has made Halloween birthday celebrations a tradition over the years, as her birthday falls shortly after the holiday. This year’s party added a cinematic theme to the occasion, with her and Elordi choosing characters from a film that has remained popular with movie fans for more than four decades.

With her blonde bob and bright pink dress, Jenner delivered one of her most noticeable Halloween transformations yet, while also giving a fresh spotlight to a classic film fashion moment.
