Kate Middleton’s meeting with Harry Styles goes viral

A TikTok video capturing the meeting between Kate Middleton and Harry Styles at a 2014 charity event has gone viral. 

The footage from the Royal Variety Performance shows the Princess of Wales engaging with the pop star after a star-studded lineup, including Ed Sheeran and One Direction.

Uploaded to TikTok by user the_blazing_royals on November 6, the video shows the princess engaged in animated conversation with the pop star, with the caption: “Two stars together! When Harry Styles met Princess Catherine.” The clip has garnered over 200,000 views, 5,000 likes, and numerous comments praising both Kate and Styles.

Harry Styles shared details about his conversation with the royal, revealing to a British newspaper that he congratulated Kate on her pregnancy, saying, “Congratulations on the bump…[Though] she didn’t look bumpy.” At the time, Kate was expecting her second child, Princess Charlotte.

Kate’s interactions with celebrities at charity events often gain attention online. Notably, her appearance at the 2021 James Bond movie premiere and the 2022 “Top Gun: Maverick” red carpet received viral acclaim.
