Serenay Sarıkaya took Turkish drama fans by storm after winning two awards, but an unpleasant situation set the star into some unwanted drama as many of her colleagues weren’t too happy with her tremendous success. 

The star received two awards recently including Best Female Role at the Yıldız Technical University awards ceremony and also took to the stage for the second time to receive another award for her role in “Shahmaran” which can be viewed on Netflix.

Serenay Sarıkaya said “Again me, again me” after receiving the two awards because of the show she starred in with the iconic and talented actor Burak Deniz.

Turkish actor Rüzgar Aksoy had something to say about Serenay winning the awards stating “Again her, again her. Oh God, we have so few talented actors. I can’t believe the organizers of these shows keep on giving awards to the same actors to promote their projects. That’s why they win again and again. No my dear, It’s not about talent here.

According to Teammy, The actor then faced criticism for his opinion on the matter and later explained his intentions by stating that he didn’t mean what he said to be directed at Serenay Sarıkaya as he highly respects her and that he collaborated with the actress quite often.

Additionally, he said that many young, ambitious, and talented actors and actresses don’t receive the recognition they deserve because the award shows focus on figures that are already prominent in the industry leaving new talent behind.

By the time of writing this article, Shahmaran isn’t doing too well when it comes to ratings on IMDB as it only garnered a total of 5.5/10 on the platform but depending on Google user reviews, Turkish Drama fans love it and say to “ignore the bad and negative reviews” about the show.

Moreover, the show is highly regarded on Rotten Tomatoes and is sitting on a whopping 91%!
