It’s official! Megan Fox joins Mortal Kombat 1’s roster as Nitara

American actress Megan Fox has joined the roster of the upcoming fighting game by NetherRealm, Mortal Kombat 1 as the Vampire of Outworld, Nitara! 

This is not the first time Megan Fox has played a vampire role as she has starred in the cult-classic horror film, Jennifer’s Body.

Mortal Kombat 1 is an upcoming fighting game by NetherRealm Studios, it will mark the second reboot of the franchise and gamers will be getting DLC characters from Pop culture characters including Homelander from The Boys, DC’s Peacemaker, and last but not least, Nitara.

Nitara has not been a playable character since the Mortal Kombat: Armageddon days on PlayStation 2, Wii, and Xbox.

NetherRealm Studios and Warners bros. officially announced Megan’s role as Nitara in a new bloody gameplay trailer on YouTube showcasing her move set, dialogue, and interactions with other characters.

Mortal Kombat’s Kung Lao cleverly brings up Jennifer’s Body to Megan Fox in the trailer by saying “What did you do with Jen’s body?” since she also plays the Vampire of Outworld, Nitara.

Megan Fox isn’t the first celebrity to star in a video game this year. Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage were released as character skins in the fifth of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.

Mortal Kombat 1 will hit stores on Sept. 19, 2023, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
