Hailey Bieber supports Selena Gomez’s engagement to Benny Blanco with a subtle Instagram like

 Hailey Bieber is quietly expressing her support for Selena Gomez.

The 28-year-old model and Rhode founder “liked” Gomez’s Instagram post on Wednesday, December 11, which announced her engagement to music producer Benny Blanco.

The 32-year-old Emilia Pérez star posted a close-up of her marquise diamond ring and a picture of herself and Blanco, 36, cuddling together with the remark, “Forever begins now…” in the photo carousel. She also posted a picture of the proposal location, which featured many boxes of Taco Bell—the singer’s well-known favorite—and a beige picnic blanket.

In response to the post, Blanco said, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”

Before they began dating in June 2023, Gomez and Blanco had worked together on the 2019 track “I Can’t Get Enough” alongside Tainy and J Balvin; thus, they had known each other for years.

Gomez released the Blanco-produced song “Single Soon” in August 2023. She verified their relationship in December 2023 by liking fan account photos of the couple on Instagram and leaving a comment that said, “He is my absolute everything in my heart.” In January, they debuted on the red carpet at the 2024 Emmys.

During an interview on Alex Cooper’s podcast in September 2022, Hailey addressed persistent allegations of a dispute between herself and Gomez. The model informed Cooper that it is “not [her] character to mess with someone’s relationship,” and that it is “all love” between her and Gomez.

“I can say, period, point blank, I was never with him when he was in a relationship with anybody—that’s the end of it,” Hailey said when discussing the length of her marriage to 30-year-old Justin Bieber.

After dating since late 2010, Gomez and Justin broke up in 2016. In October 2017, the two rekindled their romance, although it didn’t last long. In September 2018, Justin and Hailey tied the knot in a civil ceremony in New York, followed by a grander ceremony in Bluffton, South Carolina, a year later.

Hailey and Gomez appeared for pictures together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures’ second annual gala in Los Angeles, a few weeks after her Call Her Daddy interview. The two seemed to get along well. Gomez held Bieber’s leg in one picture, and in another, they stood together and grinned.
