Gene Hackman found dead alongside his wife and dog in New Mexico home

95-year-old retired American actor Gene Hackman was found dead alongside his wife Betsy Arakawa and their dog inside his home in New Mexico on Wednesday, according to The Sun and local police.
Santa Fe police reported that there was no foul play involved in the incident but have not revealed the cause of death. Santa Fe County Sheriff, Adan Mendoza released a short statement Thursday morning that said, “All I can say is that we’re in the middle of a preliminary death investigation, waiting on approval of a search warrant.”
He further stated, “I want to assure the community and neighborhood that there’s no immediate danger to anyone” The time of the incident also remains unclear.

The Award-winning actor had quite the discography under his sleeve and received two Oscars and two Baftas during his decades-long career. He is best known for starring in movies such as The French Connection, The Royal Tenenbaums, Unforgiven, and The Conversation.
He received an Oscar for his supporting role in 1992’s Unforgiven which also starred iconic actor Clint Eastwood, and also copped another one for his role in 1971’s The French Connection.
