The record was broken in 2020 by a 27-year-old American woman called, Diedra Vigil who got 300 tattoos of her own name, according to the India Times. Evans then reclaimed the record by tattooing “Lucy” 400 more times on his body adding up to 667 tattoos.
Mark Owen Evans got 200 of them on each of his thighs adding up to 400 by two artists at Dexterity Ink in Wrexham.
Owens told The Sun “It felt weird – because two tattoo artists were doing it at once, the pain was kind of canceled out. I love that I literally wear my record and take it everywhere.”
He also said: “I couldn’t wait to claim the record back and dedicate this to my daughter,” and that he is not planning on having more babies anymore.

Getting a tattoo is a great way to express yourself by adding a piece of art onto your body whether it’s something you are passionate about or the name of a loved one like what Mark did, but remember getting a tattoo is permanent unless you get a cover-up which doesn’t always work or get a painful and expensive laser removal.
