Yemeni military says 2,316 Houthis killed or wounded in strikes over 72 hours

Yemen’s armed forces said on Sunday that 2,316 Houthi fighters had been killed or wounded in hundreds of operations against the Iran-backed militia over the past 72 hours.

The military said it had carried out 756 operations against Houthi targets during the period.

It also said four Iranian experts specializing in the operation and launch of drones and missiles were killed in strikes in Yemen’s Taiz province.

The latest figures come amid intensified fighting between Yemeni government forces and the Houthis on several fronts, particularly around Taiz.
