Fashion diplomacy: Melania Trump wears emerald green gown for White House dinner

US First Lady Melania Trump made a fashion and a diplomatic statement on Tuesday as she welcomed Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman wearing an emerald green gown by Lebanese designer Elie Saab.

Melania, walking alongside her husband President Donald Trump, welcomed MBS at the White House for a dinner honoring the Crown Prince.

The first lady turned heads in the floor-length, sculpted Saab dress, which she wore with pointed heels.

The gown’s deep green color could be seen as a tribute to Saudi Arabia.

The first lady wore minimal jewelry simply complementing the dress with diamond earrings and rings.
