With less than an hour of its premiere on streaming service Netflix, the second season of the beloved K-drama Squid Game has gone viral on social media.

While some are still concerned over what Squid Game Season 2 will cover, the vast majority are sharing their excitement on several social media platforms including Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) where the show is currently trending with more than 3,000 posts and counting.

Hashtags ‘#ChoiSeunghyunForSquidGame’ and ‘#TEAMTHANOS’ are also trending on Musk’s X in anticipation of the series’ upcoming vicious and cunning villain Thanos, who is played by former Big Bang member Choi Seung-Hyun.

Lee Jung-Jae is returning to the show as ‘Seong Gi-hun’ who copped the 45.6 billion Korean won prize and became the first individual to ever win the competition. Other returning actors include Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-jun, and Gong Yoo as well.

On the other hand, actors and actresses such as Yim Si-Wan, Jo Yu-Ri, Yang Dong-Jeun, Kang Ae-Sim, Lee Seo-Hwan, Kang Ha-Neul, and Park Sung-Hoon are all starring in Squid Game Season 2 as new players.
