Dunia Batma releases new song from behind bars

Moroccan artist Dunia Batma unveiled a new song that talks about “Mothers”, even though she is serving a jail term.

Batma was arrested by the Moroccan police in Casablanca city, on Jan. 31st  in the famous “Hamza Moon Baby” account case.

However, despite being behind bars, the Moroccan singer Dunia Batma posted on Instagram on Sunday, the new song “Tafkret Mimiti” in celebration of “Mother’s Day,” which fell on March 21.

The Instagram account of Dunia posted the video and wrote a caption: “Good morning, the song of the artist Dounia Batma “Tafkret Mimiti” is now on YouTube on the channel of the film production company “Al-Boz.”

It is noteworthy that the Court of First Instance in Marrakesh had issued an effective imprisonment sentence for 8 months against Dunia, in 2020, followed by the ruling issued by the Court of Appeal, which added 4 effective months to her imprisonment sentence, bringing the total to a full year.

Last month, the Court of Cassation in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, rejected the appeal of the artist Dunia Batma to cancel her one-year prison sentence.

As reported earlier, the Moroccan star was proven to have links with the “Hamza Moon Baby” account, which was created on “Snapchat” to expose celebrities and their suspicious relationships with businessmen.
