Born in 1920, Candida Ouderso astonished law enforcement officials with her midnight antics, covering significant distances even at her elderly age.

The uncommon traffic infraction has generated curiosity worldwide, since Ouderso’s will to stay independent was evident when she traveled to see friends in a different province.

At the age of 100, Ouderso was allowed to drive by Vicenza authorities after passing a series of exams, including a vision examination.

When the police pulled stopped the car, they were shocked to see how old the driver was and that her license had expired two years before. The woman showed an impressive degree of independence, as she seemed intent to visit acquaintances in the nearby town despite her advanced age.
