Devrim Özkan and Ulaş Tuna Astepe Çift Kişilik Oda canceled after just 8 episodes

Devrim Özkan and Ulaş Tuna Astepe star power couldn’t save Çift Kişilik Oda from cancellation.
The Turkish drama series Çift Kişilik Oda (Double Room), which started with high hopes and a strong cast, has not lived up to viewers’ dreams. The eighth episode will be the last one, and the show will end. The choice was made right after the sixth episode of the show aired.
Reporter Birsen Altuntaş says that the production has decided to end the series earlier than planned. This is an unexpectedly early end to a show that starred some of Turkey’s rising and established stars, such as Ulaş Tuna Astepe, Devrim Özkan, Sevil Tunca, Begüm Çıtak, Levent Ülgen, and Serkan Tınmaz.
Ayşe Üner Kutlu wrote Çift Kişilik Oda, which is about a young woman named Nilüfer (played by Devrim Özkan) who lost her parents when she was young and wants to work at the hotel they built. One of the hotel’s owners, Kaan (Ulaş Tuna Astepe), comes back to the estate not to be nice but to get back at his half-sister Sevil. This changes her life in a way she didn’t expect.
Loss, ambition, and change were all explored in the story as Nilüfer and Kaan, who both had very different goals, go on an emotional trip that changes them both. The show’s premise and emotional depth were praised, but it had a hard time keeping fans because there were so many other good shows on TV at the same time.
Fans of the show have been upset on social media, saying they liked the acts but wish there had been more time to develop the characters and storylines.
Since there are only two shows left, Çift Kişilik Oda will try to wrap up its story. It will be interesting to see if it gets a second chance through streaming or stays a short-lived soap.
