Cardi B welcomes her third child amid divorce with Offset

Rapper Cardi B is a mother of three!

The 31-year-old “WAP” rapper announced Thursday that she is a mother for the third time. She announced the news with a carousel of hospital images that showed her nursing and snuggling the infant.

Offset, Cardi’s spouse, from whom she divorced in July, is seen cuddling the infant in more photographs and videos. Cardi gushed, “The prettiest little thing,” in the caption.

Last month, an Instagram image of the artist standing on a balcony and holding her growing baby bump first revealed Cardi B’s pregnancy. On Thursday, she published Instagram photographs of herself and the baby with her husband Offset. A spokesman for the rapper later revealed that she had filed for divorce on the same day.

Last month, she posted on Instagram, “With every ending comes a new beginning!” Thanks to you, I have experienced more love, more life, and, most importantly, a revitalization of my power during this season, and for that, I am eternally grateful. Cardi B announced her third pregnancy on Instagram in early August, further solidifying the rumor. “A new beginning is born with every ending! You have rejuvenated my power, given me more love, and extended the life of this season; for that, I am eternally thankful. Several images of Cardi exposing her stomach in a red dress were accompanied by a message that she authored.

“Served as a reminder that I am capable of reaching my goals. Your reminder reminded me that life, love, and passion are always there for me. My love for you is limitless, and I can’t wait for you to see what you inspired me to do.

“It’s so much easier taking life’s twists and turns and test-laying down, but you, your brother, and your sister have shown me why it’s worth it to push through!” she said at the end.

A day after the rapper announced her pregnancy, she filed for divorce from Offset, ending their six-year marriage. A Cardi official told PEOPLE that the news was true. “It’s not based on cheating rumors, but rather has been a long time coming,” he said.

Later in August, during an X Spaces discussion, Cardi B disclosed that she had just gone through a “freak accident” that had rendered her “paralyzed” and almost resulted in the loss of her pregnancy.

“A weird accident happened to me.” “I don’t know how something—well, it wasn’t little, it actually hurt,” the singer said, refraining from providing specifics or a diagnosis.

She continued, “And that little thing almost cost me my little one to come.” “And that little thing nearly cost me my little one’s birth.”

Fortunately, “it didn’t,” she confided. I felt wonderful yesterday. I returned home, but I did so with a gleam in my eye.

“Today, I woke up sober, honey,” Cardi explained to her admirers about her emotional state. I’m going to the hospital if I don’t feel better in four hours; I don’t care anymore.
