Aras Bulut İynemli and Alper Çankaya reunite in Netflix’s mysterious new thriller “Eve Giden Yol.”
Netflix’s highly anticipated Turkish thriller “Eve Giden Yol” (The Road Home) is continuing to expand its impressive cast as production officially prepares to begin next month. Turkish media reports reveal that four more well-known actors have joined the ambitious project, which is already being described as one of Netflix Türkiye’s biggest dramas of the upcoming season.
Produced by Ay Yapım and directed by acclaimed actor and filmmaker Onur Saylak, the eight-episode series will officially begin filming on June 2. Successful screenwriter Sevgi Yılmaz writes the script. Turkish entertainment pages have frequently compared the series to the global phenomenon “Lost” because of its mysterious atmosphere, psychological tension, and survival storyline.
The story centers around a devastating traffic accident and the strange events that unfold afterward. Much of the series will reportedly take place inside an abandoned village, creating a dark and isolated setting for the mystery.
One of the project’s biggest attractions is its lead cast. Aras Bulut İynemli stars as Kemal, while Nilperi Şahinkaya plays his wife Şebnem. The pair will portray a married couple whose lives are turned upside down after the tragic accident.
Turkish viewers are especially excited because the series marks another major Netflix role for Aras Bulut İynemli, who remains one of Türkiye’s most internationally recognized actors. The actor previously gained global attention through “Çukur,” “Deha,” and the Netflix film “7. Koğuştaki Mucize” (“Miracle in Cell No. 7”).
Nilperi Şahinkaya also continues strengthening her presence on digital platforms after successful performances in both television and streaming productions. Turkish media have praised her versatility and strong screen presence ahead of the project.
The latest casting updates created even more excitement online. Halil Babür has officially joined the series as the character Erdil. Sennur Nogaylar, whose recent drama “Kıskanmak” recently concluded, will portray Nilgün.
Another major talking point is the reunion between Aras Bulut İynemli and Alper Çankaya. The two actors previously appeared together in the legendary Turkish drama “Çukur,” which became one of the most successful series of the past decade. Their reunion in “Eve Giden Yol” has already sparked major reactions across social media.
Alper Çankaya recently gained widespread popularity after playing Şahin in the hit series “Uzak Şehir” for two seasons. According to Turkish media reports, the actor is preparing to leave “Uzak Şehir” during the season finale before officially joining the Netflix production.
The cast expansion also includes Ahmet Kürşat Öçalan, who will portray the character Orhan. Turkish entertainment journalists suggest additional casting announcements may still arrive before filming officially begins.
The project continues Ay Yapım’s strong partnership with Netflix Türkiye. The production company previously delivered several internationally successful Turkish dramas and is expected to give “Eve Giden Yol” a cinematic visual style and large-scale production quality.
