Apple says AI will replace iPhones within 10 years

Apple, the American multinational technology company, has stated that artificial intelligence (AI) could replace iPhones within the next 10 years.
No more iPhones after 10 years from now
Eduardo H. Cue, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Services, stated that iPhones may no longer be available within the next 10 years, as artificial intelligence (AI) is expected to take over their role.
Cue emphasized the ongoing wave of innovation currently happening in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).
Notably, Apple canceled its smart car project last year and faced a setback when its first virtual reality headset underperformed in sales. As a result, the company is now shifting its focus to robotics and wearable devices—developments that could eventually lead to augmented reality (AR) smart glasses, seen as a potential alternative to the iPhone.
On the other hand, the company is preparing to release its first foldable iPhone next year, followed by a new iPhone in 2027 featuring a full-screen design without camera holes or Face ID.
Cue also mentioned that Apple is considering integrating AI-powered search tools from companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, and Perplexity into Safari in the future, offering more options for users.
