UAE condemns Houthi attacks on Riyadh airport, expresses solidarity with Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Tuesday received a phone call from the UAE’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Saudi foreign ministry said in a statement.
“The call addressed the attacks by the Houthi militia on King Khalid International Airport, as for which Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed the Emirates’ condemnation of these attacks, reassuring the full solidarity of his country with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for everything that would preserve [Saudi Arabia’s] security and stability,” the statement read.
The Iran-backed Houthis have attacked airports across the Kingdom, including King Khalid International Airport over the past few days, killing over a dozen people and wounding more than 300.
In addition, it said that the two ministers further spoke about the latest developments, their regional effects and the two countries’ efforts toward them.
