Eşref Tek begins filming November 1 with Çağatay Ulusoy and Görkem Sevindik

The story of Eşref is set to continue in a new direction as Eşref Tek, the upcoming digital series starring Çağatay Ulusoy and Görkem Sevindik, prepares to begin filming.

Following the strong reception of Eşref Rüya on Prime Video, Çağatay Ulusoy has reunited with Tims&B Productions for the new project. The latest Turkish reports reveal that filming is scheduled to begin on November 1, with the series planned as an eight-episode production.

Çağatay Ulusoy will once again play Eşref, while Görkem Sevindik will return as Kadir, a character viewers already know from Eşref Rüya. Their reunion is one of the most anticipated elements of the new project, particularly because Eşref Tek will explore the history behind their relationship.

Eşref and Kadir’s Story Takes Center Stage

Unlike Eşref Rüya, which followed Eşref’s life and complicated relationship with Rüya and Nisan, Eşref Tek will turn the clock back.

The new series will focus on Eşref’s past, exploring the events that shaped him before he became the powerful figure audiences met in Eşref Rüya. A major part of the story will be his connection with Kadir and their rise within the criminal underworld.

The project is therefore being positioned as a story that adds new layers to Eşref’s character rather than simply continuing the original series.

Görkem Sevindik’s return as Kadir is particularly significant. His character will be central to the story of Eşref’s earlier years, with the new series expected to show how the two men built their alliance and became powerful names in the underworld.

Who Is Behind Eşref Tek?

Eşref Tek is being produced by Tims&B Productions, with producers Timur Savcı and Burak Sağyaşar behind the project.

The screenplay is being written by Ethem Özışık, while Uluç Bayraktar will direct the eight-episode series. Both are familiar names from the Eşref Rüya creative team.

Casting is still underway, meaning additional names are expected to be announced as production moves closer to the start of filming.

The project will be released digitally on Prime Video, but an exact premiere date has not yet been announced.

Görkem Sevindik Faces a Busy Filming Schedule

Sevindik will have an especially demanding schedule during production.

While filming Eşref Tek in Istanbul, the actor will also continue working on Güneşin Doğduğu Yer in Adana. Turkish reports say he will move between the two sets as both productions continue.

For fans of Eşref Rüya, however, the biggest attraction will be seeing Ulusoy and Sevindik together again.

Eşref Rüya ended its run with its 47th episode on June 10, after two seasons. Now, rather than leaving Eşref’s story behind, the new production will take viewers back to the character’s earlier years and reveal more about the man he became.

With filming scheduled to start on November 1, Eşref Tek is quickly moving from development into production. The remaining cast and premiere date are expected to become clearer as the project gets closer to its first day on set.
