Alıkara premieres September 10 with Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı

Alıkara, starring Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı, will premiere on TOD on Thursday, September 10, bringing together two of the most talked-about young actors in Turkish television for the first time. The series will then continue with new episodes every Thursday on the digital platform.

Produced by Karga7 Pictures under the TOD STUDIOS banner, Alıkara has already attracted attention for its ambitious story and strong creative team. Hülya Gezer is directing the series, while the screenplay comes from Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü.

The project combines mystery, psychological drama, crime and romance, creating a story built around two people whose lives are changed by painful events.

Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı Meet for the First Time

Miray Daner plays Işık And, a young forensic psychologist who grew up in Istanbul and has learned to approach life through reason and analysis.

Her world changes when her father suddenly disappears.

Halit Özgür Sarı, meanwhile, plays Deniz Baran Dağ, a homicide chief inspector who has carried the scars of painful losses since childhood. His own life is shaken by the death of his beloved niece, Neşe, who leaves behind unanswered questions.

Although Işık and Deniz come from very different worlds, their stories gradually begin to overlap.

One follows the traces of the human mind. The other follows the evidence left behind by crimes.

As they search for answers, their paths cross around a mystery that forces both of them to confront parts of their own pasts.

That connection becomes one of the central elements of Alıkara. The series explores the tension between reason and intuition while also bringing together themes such as tradition and modern life, faith and science, and East and West.

A Story Built Around Loss and Unanswered Questions

At the heart of Alıkara is the idea that two people can find each other while trying to understand completely different forms of loss.

Işık is searching for answers about her missing father. Deniz is dealing with the questions surrounding Neşe’s death.

Their investigation is therefore not simply about uncovering what happened. As the mystery deepens, both characters are pushed toward uncomfortable truths about themselves.

The first trailer and promotional material have already teased the darker atmosphere of the series, with the story promising suspense while also leaving room for an emotional relationship between its two central characters.

Strong Supporting Cast

Miray Daner and Sarı are joined by a large ensemble cast that includes Sezin Akbaşoğulları, Fatih Al, Gökhan Soylu, Can Atak, Bahadır Vatanoğlu, Burak Güneş, Yaprak Medine, Yiğit Batumlu, Esra Ünnü, Elif Gülhan, Jasmine Berkiş and Serpil Gül.

The series first brought its cast and creative team together for a table read in June, where the production team highlighted the atmosphere and chemistry that emerged during the first gathering. At the time, the project was described as one of the ambitious productions being prepared for the season.

Filming began in June, with the production promising a visually distinctive world to match its emotionally heavy story.

When and Where to Watch Alıkara

Alıkara premieres September 10, 2026, exclusively on TOD, with new episodes scheduled for Thursdays.

With Miray Daner and Halit Özgür Sarı sharing the screen for the first time, an experienced creative team behind the camera and a story that mixes crime, mystery, psychological tension and romance, Alıkara is entering the fall season with plenty of attention already surrounding it.

The real question now is whether Işık and Deniz will be able to uncover the truth they are both searching for — and what that truth will cost them along the way.
