Barış Arduç and Farah Zeynep Abdullah lead horror film “SOY”

Barış Arduç and Farah Zeynep Abdullah star in supernatural horror “SOY” begins production in Istanbul.
The cameras have officially started rolling in Istanbul for the highly anticipated horror film “SOY.” Produced by Rozam Media, this project marks a significant collaboration as the company’s first production shot entirely in Turkey.
Directed by Maxime Alexandre, who is taking on his fourth horror feature, the film boasts a high-profile cast. Leading the ensemble are Turkish stars Farah Zeynep Abdullah, Barış Arduç, Tuba Büyüküstün, and Tamer Levent. They are joined by supporting actors Mehmet Yılmaz, Özge Özacar, and Erdal Küçükkömürcü.
A Story of Curses and Time
The film is based on an original story by Turki Alalshikh, a prominent Saudi official and writer known for his previous horror script, The Cello. The screenplay, penned by Şükrü Necati Şahin and Melih Özyılmaz, weaves a supernatural narrative focused on the haunting themes of time, memory, and ancient curses. The production team aims to deliver a unique blend of psychological drama and classic horror.

International Collaboration
The project is a truly international effort. While the five-week filming schedule takes place in the historic streets of Istanbul, the technical finish will happen abroad.

Editor: French veteran Stephane Roche will lead the cutting room.
Post-Production: All final work will be completed in France.
Executive Team: The production is spearheaded by executive producer Saner Ayar, with Delwi Gollon serving as producer and Yagmur Ayar as associate producer.
The first glimpse of the project was recently shared via a photo from the script reading rehearsal. With a blend of Turkish star power and an international crew, “SOY” is positioned to be a major entry in the global horror market.
