Turkish star Sevil Akdag stabs friend 30 times while intoxicated

 Renowned Turkish actress Sevil Akdag recently made headlines after stabbing her friend Elif Kırav 30 times while intoxicated. 

29-year-old Elif Kırav was found dead inside her home in Istanbul, and after a careful investigation by Turkish authorities, Sevil Akdag was ruled out as the suspect behind the incident and was arrested in the Esenyurt district.

Additionally, the police received a report from a nearby neighbor who claimed to have heard screams coming from inside Elif’s apartment. They told the police, “I was trying to go back to sleep when I heard the sound of hurried footsteps on the building’s stairs.”

They added, “When I looked through the peephole, I saw a person dressed in black running away. Later, Elif’s mother called her daughter but received no answer, so I went up to the apartment and found the door open. Upon entering, I saw Elif seriously injured, so I immediately notified the police.”

In detail, Sevil Akdag admitted to the police that she was with Elif Kırav the night before, but a fight broke out between them when they went out for a drink together, and the actress got drunk. In the statement, the Turkish actress claimed that Elif Kırav hit her, which started the fight.

She added, “A moment later, Elif fell to the ground and stopped moving. I got scared and ran away from the scene. I was very drunk and don’t remember the details clearly.”

Elif’s brother told local media outlets that Sevil stabbed his sister 30 times after a violent quarrel broke out between them. He added that after the incident, Sevil threw her phone away, making it difficult to reach her, and that he wishes the justice system would take the right precautions against the Turkish star.

Amid her arrest, Sevil was taken to the Istanbul Public Prosecutor’s Office in Çağlayan.
