Mohamed Ramadan sparks debate after wearing 24K gold shirt

Popular Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan recently sparked debate among his fans on social media after taking to his official Instagram account and sharing his new 24K gold shirt. The unique outfit was part of Ramadan’s performance for the Women’s Premier League for Cricket in Mumbai, India.
The post captioned, “If my outfit is 24K gold, my fans are pure diamonds” garnered more than 130,000 likes on Instagram as fans took to its comment section and praised Mohamed Ramadan. A fan wrote, “The best gold suits you legend.”

His performance also featured a series of backup dancers and stage enhancers including lightning, and minimal fireworks. Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana also joined Ramadan on stage to perform their song “Rolla Rolla.”
Excluding Ramadan and Montana, “Rolla Rolla” also features artists such as Rusha & Blizza, Jasmine S, and Dj Shadow. By the time of reporting, the song was posted on YouTube and garnered more than 250,000 views.
Several others weren’t so keen and wrote, “Gold increases the hormone of femininity. Stick to silver, it’s better for you.”
In reference to Mohamed Ramadan’s religion, several social media users judged the Egyptian star for wearing gold since it’s deemed forbidden for men to wear it in Islam.
