Lara Croft returns to Fortnite with new skin

A trusted leaker on Musk’s X (formerly known as Twitter) that goes by the name, “ShiinaBR” recently revealed that Lara Croft is getting a new skin in Fortnite and the release is sooner than expected! 

The leaker who partnered with Epic Games before took to social media and wrote, “A globetrotting archaeologist with a penchant for dangerous adventures.”

Lara Croft is considered one of the most iconic characters in pop culture thanks to Angelina Jolie’s portrayal in the movies and the development of games dating back to 1996 from both Western and Asian developers.

Lara Croft returns to Fortnite with new skin

Several social media users on X took to the platform to speculate and debate what the skin would look like. One user on X wrote in reply to ShiinaBR’s post, “This is likely the skin, it’s a mash-up of the Classic & Survivor era for the next Tomb Raider game,” following a picture of an example.

Fortnite has been launching skins of characters from various popular franchises for years. The game now features over 400 collaboration skins, according to a Reddit user who made a list in 2023.

Its recent crossover was with the legendary anime Cowboy Bebop which featured skins from the show’s main cast such as Spike Spiegel and Faye Valentine with the addition of special cosmetics.

Other notable individuals featured as skins in Fortnite include characters such as John Wick, Spider-Man, Travis Scott, Kratos, Master Chief, Naruto, Eren Jaeger, and many more.
