Real Madrid makes history after surpassing €1 billion in income
Spanish football club Real Madrid recently made history after surpassing €1 billion in operating income for the 2023/24 season, as reported by MARCA.
The famous LaLiga club managed to top the list in terms of operating income with Manchester City (€838 million) and PSG (€806 million) placing second and third respectively. The operating income amounted to €1.073 billion, making it a 27 percent increase from the previous year. Take in mind that this number excludes the club’s players’ revenue.

Joining Real Madrid as the “Top 25 Clubs by REvenue” list by Football Benchmark was Barcelona in fifth place, Athletic Club Bilbao in 20th, and RC Celta de Vigo barely making the list by placing 25th.
The renovation of Santiago Bernabéu Stadium also marked a significant growth in the team’s revenue due to generating a whopping €251 million from matches, further resulting in 28 percent year-on-year growth in operating income, as reported by Madrid Universal. The stadium’s VIP areas also generated €83 million in profits.
Moreover, Real Madrid’s market value is also as high as ever due to the fact that it is worth €5.097 billion, topping global rankings.
