Ella Purnell is playing Fallout: New Vegas in anticipation of Prime’s Season 2
English actress Ella Purnell who recently played Jinx in Netflix’s Arcane went viral after announcing on her socials that she’s playing Obisidian’s ‘Fallout: New Vegas,’ in anticipation of Amazon Prime’s second season of the video game adaptation.
The actress who plays Lucy MacLean in the Emmy award-winning TV series said, “I’ve been told to play Fallout: Las Vegas. Since I do love some source materials and this may or may not be prep for a certain, I may or not be on soon.”

Despite being a spin-off from the original titles, ‘Fallout: New Vegas’ which is made by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda is considered one of the best titles released during the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 era.
Purnell understands that the game is very long and wrote on her socials, “Obviously time isn’t on my side to absorb all the source material in time. I will still absorb the game until I’m called to the wasteland.”
We think it’s important for actors and actresses to experience an adaptation’s source material since having that as a reference could greatly enhance their performance in a title. Especially Fallout for its world-building and interesting theme.
Another example of an actor who did the same as Ella Purnell is Jon Bernthal who said in an interview that he went to a comic book store and picked up a bunch of ‘The Punisher’ titles recommended by the store employee.
