Moo Deng anticipates 2024 US Election winner, who did she choose?

As Americans get ready to vote on the next president of the United States, between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump, an adorable baby hippo named Moo Deng who recently went viral on social media has already cast her vote. 

The baby pygmy hippo from Thailand first rose to fame after her caretaker shared pictures on the internet in September. Moo Deng later started appearing in videos while being angry yet adorable due to being more playful and energetic compared to other hippos. This resulted in millions of views and a plethora of fan content including artwork.

In a new viral video, Moo Deng was called out of the water by her caretaker where she was met with two containers made out of watermelon shells. One had Donald Trump while the other had Kamala Harris carved on them in Thai.

She later made her way to former US president and current candidate Donald Trump deeming him the winner.

Fun fact: Moo Deng translates to “bouncy pig” in Thai, which in our opinion perfectly describes the chunky fellow. She currently resides in Khao Kheow Open Zoo, Thailand and was born on July 2024 making her three months old by the time of writing this article.

She was also named by the public after a poll was made and thanks to her, Khao Kheow Open Zoo has seen a surge in visitors resulting in a positive impact on the place and its staff.
