Syria air defenses intercept ‘hostile targets’ over vicinity of Damascus

Syrian air defenses intercepted “hostile targets” over the vicinity of Damascus, following an explosion that was heard in the capital, state media said early on Tuesday.

SANA, Syria’s state news agency, on Sunday reported a blast that was heard in the same vicinity.

At the time, SANA added that an investigation was being conducted to establish the cause.
