‘Why God Why?’: Friends series turns 30

On September 22, 1994, the TV world changed completely and forever as the first episode of the world’s most famous and iconic series “Friends” was released on NBC.

Friends, which tells the story of six best friends living in New York City and the challenges they face in comedy print, has been watched over 100 billion times across multiple platforms. The American series consists of 10 seasons (236 episodes).

Last year, Friends fans were shocked by the death of actor Matthew Perry, the star who played Chandler Bing – a very sarcastic character. Matthew Perry passed away on October 28, 2023, aged 54.

In late August, federal officials in Los Angeles revealed that five people were charged in connection with the ketamine death of “Friends” star Matthew Perry.

Friends: The Reunion (2021)

Friends Reunion was hosted by British TV presenter James Corden in 2021. The Friends Reunion was also executive produced by the show’s cocreators, Marta Kauffman and David Crane, Kevin S. Bright, the six friends, as well as Ben Winston (who also directed the special).
