Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab has been under the spot light on social media after new claims that she was summoned by judges for investigation.

According to the allegations, Sherine, who recently got divorced from Hussam Habib, was requested by the Egyptian Public Prosecutor to hear her statements regarding the accusation against her of insulting and defaming producer Mohamed Al-Shaer.

However, the lawyer of the Egyptian singer has made an official statement denying all rumors that are surfacing on the internet.

Sherine’s lawyer confirmed that this news that was circulated during the last hours is “completely false.”

Hossam Lotfy added: “If Sherine is summoned, I will be the one who receives the summons because I am her agent, and this has not happened.”

Erem News reported that Egyptian authorities had received a report from producer Mohamed Al-Shaer, accusing Abdel Wahab of “unlawfully insulting, slandering, and defaming him” during a press conference.
