UAE photography competition, how to join and possibly win money

 Attention to all photography enthusiasts in the United Arab Emirates. You now have the opportunity to win Dh 2500 and other exciting prizes every month. The Postal Portraits Photography Competition, launched by Emirates Post on  Saturday, is open to individuals of all nationalities who are 18 years old and older. 

Whether you’re a professional photographer or an amateur, this competition welcomes your participation. The competition will run until September 30 next year, and it aims to showcase the diverse cultural landscape that defines the Emirates.

Organized around quarterly themes, participants are tasked with capturing the vibrancy of the Emirates’ postal experiences through their photographic lens. They are required to submit high-resolution photos that highlight various postal activities such as buildings, stamps, mailboxes, letters, packages, vans, or postcards.

Emirates Post encourages all photography enthusiasts in the UAE to join in this exciting venture, emphasizing their commitment to promoting community engagement and capturing the rich cultural heritage of the country. To participate, there are specific criteria that need to be followed.

All photos must be in a digital format and must not have any watermarks or excessive editing. Participants can submit up to three photos per month in either color or black and white. The photos must be shared on their Instagram page with the tag #PostalPortraits. Submissions need to be made by the end of each month, and the winners will be announced the following month.

The participant who submits the most outstanding photograph each month will receive Dh2,500 and an array of giveaways. Additionally, the competition has different themes for each quarter. From October to December 2023, the focus is on capturing the architecture and building exteriors of Emirates Post.

From January to March 2024, participants are encouraged to convey their own stories of the post in the UAE through pictures.

The theme for April to June 2024 is moments of people around Emirates Post locations (excluding actual customers), while from July to September 2024, participants can express their creative concepts that can be utilized for Emirates Post stamps and postcards.

Submissions can be made from the first to the last day of each month, and winners will be announced on Emirates Post’s social media channels.
