In his interview with Soompi, Ji Chang Wook expressed his interest in the role saying: “As soon as I read the script for ‘The Worst of Evil,’ I felt that the drama definitely had its own unique color. I was confident that it would be a very new and different kind of crime-action drama, with a much younger vibe [than past dramas in the same genre]”.
Meanwhile, co-star Im Se-mi said: “The three characters are sort of intertwined, and emotional turmoil and confusion arise and carry out the story. It’s going to be quite entertaining”.
Wi Ha Joon, who has been in the Netflix shows “Squid Game” (2021) and “Little Women” (2022), described the next series as a new form of crime thriller aimed at dark genre lovers.
“It’s not a story you can watch with your family for a good laugh, but it will make you feel something different,” Wi said during a press conference in Seoul on Tuesday.
According to Wi, his boss character has two faces: a cold-blooded drug lord who has spent painful days in his life and a man who desires love from his first love, Eui-jung.
