“Yeraltı” new season begins with major cast additions: When will it return?

The hit Turkish series Yeraltı has officially started preparations for its highly anticipated new season, bringing together its existing cast and four major new additions for a table read.
İsmail Hacıoğlu, Şükran Ovalı, Azra Aksu and Ekrem Tamer have joined the series, expanding the story and introducing new family ties that are expected to shake up the world of Bozo, played by Uraz Kaygılaroğlu. The newly expanded cast recently gathered with the full team to work through the new season storyline for the first time.
The table read marks an important step as Yeraltı prepares to return to the screen. With new characters entering the story, questions are already growing over how the existing power balance will change and what kind of confrontations will emerge from the characters’ connections to the past.
Şükran Ovalı brings Bozo’s past back

One of the biggest developments involves Şükran Ovalı, who will play a woman with an important connection to Bozo.
Ovalı is set to portray Bozo’s former girlfriend, bringing a significant part of his past back into his present life. Her character will also be connected to Azra Aksu, who will play her daughter. The relationship is expected to create a new emotional and dramatic layer around Bozo as the new season unfolds.
The family connection does not stop there.
İsmail Hacıoğlu will join the story as the uncle of Aksu’s character, while Ekrem Tamer will portray the father of Hacıoğlu’s character. These new relationships will connect several characters across different generations and bring more history into the series’ already complicated world.
Yeraltı new larger cast and changing power dynamics
The new additions join a cast led by Deniz Can Aktaş, Devrim Özkan and Uraz Kaygılaroğlu.
The returning and expanded ensemble also includes Sümeyye Aydoğan, Burak Sevinç, Ülkü Hilal Çiftçi, Ekin Mert Daymaz, Emir Benderlioğlu, Koray Şahinbaş, Hülya Gülşen, Hakan Çelebi and Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, alongside the four new names.
Yeraltı is produced by Medyapım, with Murat Öztürk directing and Berna Aruz writing the series. It originally premiered on NOW in January 2026 and quickly established itself with its crime, drama, action and romance elements.
The story originally followed Haydar Ali, played by Deniz Can Aktaş, whose revenge-driven journey takes him into the dangerous world of underground crime. The first season also placed complicated relationships and forbidden love at the center of the drama.
Now, the arrival of Bozo’s former girlfriend, her daughter and their extended family connections promises to push the story in a new direction.
When will Yeraltı return?
Yeraltı is expected to return in October with its new season, according to the latest announcement. The series will return with its expanded cast, new characters and shifting relationships as the story moves forward.
For viewers who followed the first season, the biggest question may be what happens when Bozo is forced to confront people and relationships from his past.
With filming preparations underway and the table read now completed, the countdown to the new season has officially begun.
