Yemeni military says 512 Houthis ‘neutralized’ in 780 strikes over 24 hours

Yemen’s armed forces said Thursday they had “neutralized” around 512 Houthi fighters and commanders and destroyed or damaged more than 330 military vehicles and troop transports in 780 strikes over the past 24 hours, as government forces continued their offensive against the Iran-backed militia across multiple fronts.
Colonel Majed al-Nuzaily, the spokesman for the Yemeni armed forces, said the strikes were carried out as part of Operation Dawn of Yemen, targeting Houthi field commanders, troop concentrations, reinforcements, heavy weapons positions, fortified sites, vehicles and supply routes.
In a post on X, al-Nuzaily said government forces continued to intensify their offensive across the northern fronts, al-Jawf, western Marib, al-Bayda, and the southern and western fronts.
He said the successive strikes had disrupted Houthi troop formations and prevented the militia from reinforcing its frontline positions, allowing government forces to maintain the momentum of their offensive.
The operations resulted in the “neutralization” of approximately 512 Houthi fighters and commanders, along with the destruction or damage of more than 330 military vehicles and troop transports, according to the spokesman.
He added that government forces had destroyed heavy weapons and Houthi reinforcements heading toward the front lines in Taiz.
Al-Nuzaily warned that Houthi military capabilities and troop concentrations would remain under surveillance and subject to attack, saying any attempt by the militia to replenish its losses or regain the initiative would be met with force.
He said operations would be conducted in accordance with international humanitarian law, with precautions taken to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
The latest announcement comes amid an intensified government offensive against Houthi positions under Operation Dawn of Yemen.
The escalation in Yemen comes alongside continued Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, prompting Saudi-led coalition forces to intensify operations against the militia.
