Yemen targets Houthi positions in response to attacks

Yemen’s armed forces on Tuesday have targeted several Houthi positions and gatherings.

Army drones further targeted Houthi mortar systems and positions in the al-Radha Mountains in the governorate of Marib while the air force targeted a Houthi camp on the al-Alam front in al-Jawf governorate.

Earlier, a Yemeni military source said that the Houthis had targeted neighborhoods in the city of Marib with drones and missiles.

Correspondents of Al Arabiya and Al Hadath reported hearing two explosions in Marib while Yemeni air defenses were engaging Houthi drones.

All the while, the Houthis continued shelling the port city of Mokha with missiles as Al Arabiya’s correspondent heard two consecutive explosions near the port.

The Iran-backed Houthis have recently increased armed attacks targeting ships in the Red Sea and striking both civilian and military targets in Yemen.
