Washington plans to strangle Iran with sanctions after the war

The United States and Israel, through their media outlets and others loyal to them around the world, have begun a fierce campaign against the ruling regime in Iran, accusing it of having premeditated intentions to use chemical and internationally prohibited weapons against the Iranian people.

This campaign falls within the framework of the claims promoted by the United States and Israel to justify their recent attack on Iran, amid ongoing talks aimed at finding solutions to the disputes between the aforementioned parties.

Washington and the Israeli entity, after either carrying out or postponing massacres against the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Gaza Strip, have raised the شعار (slogan) of protecting Iranians from what they describe as the violence of the ruling regime. This refers to the events and popular uprising that swept Iranian territories days before the U.S.-Israeli attack.

The media propaganda campaign, it seems, has come to justify this aggression after Western countries—especially Europe and NATO members—remained neutral and refused to join U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in what they viewed as an unjustified attack, driven instead by personal interests and financial gains for the U.S. president, and by Netanyahu’s attempt to evade corruption charges and international criminal prosecution.

The media campaign, already launched across several outlets and amplified by activists who “sell their موقف” (positions) on social media, will soon be followed by efforts to prepare for condemning Iran through international and human rights organizations, described as bodies that orbit within the sphere of U.S. decision-making and direction. In the third phase, after the propaganda campaigns and strong statements, the issue will shift toward reopening Iran’s nuclear file within international organizations, increasing pressure on Tehran, and accusing it of failing to comply with their conditions—something that will be portrayed as a threat to the region and to Israel. In the fourth phase, countries will begin coordinating to impose even harsher sanctions than those already affecting Tehran and the Iranian people, especially after the West concluded that Iran has adapted to previous sanctions.

Over past decades, the International Atomic Energy Agency has, according to this perspective, turned into a tool in the hands of the United States and the West, used in line with American interests and policies. It has been involved in dozens of scandals that led to the destruction of regimes, states, and institutions, resulting in tens of thousands of victims—such as the claim that Iraq possessed nuclear weapons. Years later, it acknowledged being misled and pressured by the United States, but only after Iraq had already been turned into a failed state as a result of the organization becoming a plaything in Washington’s hands.
