Two people in intensive care after driver rams into pedestrians in Western France

Two people were in intensive care on Wednesday after a driver rammed into pedestrians and cyclists on the touristic French island of Ile d’Oleron, off the Atlantic coast, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said on X.

The driver has been arrested by the police and an investigation was opened, he added.
