Two drones intercepted, destroyed in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province

Two drones were intercepted and destroyed in Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province, the Saudi Press Agency reported Saturday, citing Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense Major General Turki Al-Maliki.
Gulf countries are being subject to Iran’s missiles and drones, but most threats are being intercepted by their air defense systems.
On Wednesday, Iran also targeted the Kingdom again, attempting to strike the Eastern Province with around 21 drones near Dammam. Saudi air defenses also intercepted two drones in the Empty Quarter that were heading toward the Shaybah oil field.
Saudi Arabia reiterated that Iran’s attacks represent a dangerous and unjustified escalation with serious consequences for regional stability.
It also stressed that Iran’s behavior does not reflect the principles of good neighborliness and does not serve the interests of peace.
