American professional golfer Tiger Woods has gone viral on social media after confirming that he’s in a relationship with US President Donald Trump’s former daughter-in-law, Vanessa Trump, sparking widespread debate on several platforms. 

Woods took to his official X account (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”

The post garnered more than 10 million views and 60,000 likes with X users congratulating the couple. On the contrary, several other social media users criticized Woods for going public with the relationship, arguing that announcing it online would only invite more privacy concerns.

An X user wrote, “I love Tiger. One of my lifetime sports heroes. But posting this…and then asking for privacy… only guarantees the opposite will happen. He knows this. So why do it?”

The message indicates that the renowned golfer has urged fans to give him and Vanessa some privacy during their newly announced relationship. Several social media users agreed with Woods and also urged individuals like paparazzi to refrain from snooping around the couple’s private space.
