This new anime is about testing bad games
Shangri-La Frontier: Kusoge Hunter is one of Fall’s newest and most unique anime since its main character has made it his mission to test horrible VR games.
The anime is based on a manga by Katarina and Ryousuke Fuji, it also inspired an upcoming video game that goes by the same name.

Shangri-La Frontier tells the story of Rakuro Hizutome known as the “crappy game hunter”, a gamer whose main objective is to test horrible and unfinished games.
His life takes a weird turn after trying a new game called ‘Shangri-La Frontier’ and grabbing the attention of a mysterious and alarming figure.

Studio C2C (best known for Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy) is animating the anime with Toshiyuki Kubooka as director, Kazuyuki Fudeyasu as script-writing, Hiroki Ikeshita as assistant director, Ayumi Kurashima who worked on Megalo Box 2 as character designer and chief animation director and Satoshi Sakai as action and FX animator.
According to AniTrendz, the game will be developed by Netmarble Nexus and published by Netmarble.
The opening song, ‘BROKEN GAMES’ by FMZ is among our favorites this season because of its catchy rhythm and stunning animation!
